GoKrida Illusion Portraits and Archangel Images

These images have been used as illustrations in the text-based interface used to access the universe of GoKrida from a web browser. Most or all of the portraits in this gallery seem to be details from well-known works of art, which are referenced in the entries below where they have been identified.

Temporvoltus Images

Major souls in the realm of Chaos, who know the Fundamentals of Illusion, can cast the spell Temporvoltus on themselves or another major soul on the same land. Those in view of the person on whom this magic is cast will notice one of the following portraits in that angel's personal signifier; the illusion will persist until the spell Devest is cast to remove it. The particular portrait that is cast on the signifier depends on which day of the 35-day cycle the spell is cast:

Sun -> Night -> Twin -> Moon -> Mountain -> Dust -> Goblin Moss -> Sea -> Catastrophe -> Victory -> Wolf -> Crone -> Grotto -> Dream -> Emperor -> Portal -> Oak -> Lovers -> Pomegranate -> Maiden -> Youth -> Ruins -> Chess -> Dawn -> Feast -> Rose -> Hero -> Sage -> Riddle -> Trickster -> Crystal -> Dragon -> Tempest -> Forest -> Phoenix

This web presentation grew out of Project Attention to Detail, originally a research project on the now-defunct GkWiki. The inspiration for this project came from a GoKrida forum post listing several links to some of the original images from which these details were taken, found from search engine queries of the image filenames.

Although many of the image and artist attributions on this site were available for ready inclusion in the wiki while it was online, not all of them had been added to that repository.

Sources for a number of images were discovered by browsing Google Image Search results based on the filenames of the images as given in GoKrida (similar to the research done for the forum post that inspired this project); more were found at Wikimedia Commons by browsing their images through category pages and search results based on the names of the artists discovered at Google. The web resource Tineye Reverse Image Search has also been useful, despite its currently small database.
